Date | Notices | | March 19, 2010 | Electrical Vault Maintenance | | | Please be advised that in order to perform scheduled testing and maintenance on electrical equipment on campus, the following power outages have been scheduled:
Gerard Hall - Friday April 30, 2010, beginning at 11 p.m. and lasting approximately 4 hours.
Sir Charles Tupper Building - Friday May 28, 2010, beginning at 11 p.m. and lasting approximately 8 hours.
Please note that during these outages all building loads are backed up by a generator and electrical services should be not interrupted.

Scheduled Power Outage - Killam Library
Please be advised that in order to perform maintenance on electrical equipment, a power outage has been scheduled for the Killam Library. This outage is planned for Friday, March 19, 2010, beginning at 11 pm, and is expected to last approximately 8 hours. Please note that this outage will not affect the operation of the Killam Data Center.

Facilities Management | | March 11, 2010 | Demolition of East Tower - Central Service Building | | | Department of Facilities Management will be overseeing the demolition of the east tower of the Central Services Building (CSB). This project will result in typical construction noise and parking around the CSB and will be disrupted (see map at http://fm.dal.ca/images/CSB%20Parking%20map.jpg).
Also, please note that for the duration of this project the north entrance to the CSB (off of the parking lot) will be blocked off and only available for emergency exit. You will be able to enter the CSB via the south entrance or the loading dock.
This project is necessary as this structure has reached the end of its useful life.

| | February 19, 2010 | Facilities Management Charge Out Rates | | | Please be reminded that the final phase in the three phase plan to adjust Facilities Management (FM) charge-out rates is scheduled to take place
April 1, 2010. As advised in our original notice of July 21, 2008, an independent consultant reviewed Facilities Management charge-out rates and recommended changes. These changes have been supported by the
Senior University Administration. Charge-out rates have been restructured to reflect the full cost of work carried out by FM (maintenance, cleaning, grounds,security and project work).
